Just celebrated my first anniversary Sunday. Just wanted to wish my lovely wife a happy one!
(and I promise I will try not to travel on the many more to come) :)

5 states in a week
So i've been traveling a ton lately for work. In fact, I have only been home a full week once since New Years. Not quite what I or the newlywed wife had in mind. But nonetheless work is work and I am loving my job so at least that makes the travel tolerable.
Last week was a unique one. I was able to take some vacation time for the wife's b-day and we went to Las Vegas to celebrate. While there we drove down to the Grand Canyon for a night. I will post more about both places later but just wanted to note that two states were visited, Nevada and Arizona. Flew back on Monday night and spent the day Tuesday in Minnesota. Flew out for work that night to Tampa. So check Florida. Went back home Friday night and flew here to Utah Sunday. So 5 states in 7 days. Toss in the earlier than usual this year daylight savings time change and I still have no idea what time it much less the time zone I am in.

Free pass
I have always hated Duke....with a passion. Everything and everyone associated with the pompous backwoods tobacco road university.
This guy, however, gets a pass.

Gutted
Well, I am still trying to recover from our disappointing loss on Saturday to ManEww.
To have truly dominated the whole game and not come away with three points, much less one was really a heart breaker.
I'll admit, we did have our chances and just simply did not put them away. Bellamy ran rampant over Vidic and made the Serb look like he was in grammar school. Riise should've hammered home a free kick if Gonzo hadn't toe-poked it so hard. Sissoko was ineffective which made Alonso and Gerrard even, track back on defense too many times. The fact that it wasn't until Pennant came on in the 65th min that Gerrard was finally able to play in his preferred role in the middle, and I think that hurt us. While he is undeniably a tremendous player anywhere on the pitch I think having him out wide for most of the game caused him to not think as offensively as he usually does.
Also, I was surprised to see such a strong team out there Saturday given the importance of the match versus Barca tomorrow. I mean, i know it was Manchester, our bitter rivals, but realistically there is more at stake in Europe this season than in the league.
Here's hoping our hearts will be strong on Tuesday even if our legs aren't 100%. While I do think it will be hard for Barca to win two goals clear at the fortress that is Anfield, with Eto'o back in the fray we can't rest on our laurels.
