Fast Food Fast?

While I was initially hesitant to move to NYC a few years ago given that I had always enjoyed myself on vacation there but couldn't really seeing myself living there day in and day out. As it turned out I fell in love with the city and the main reason was the food. I am a big food person. I have always loved to eat, cook, buy kitchen items and watch cooking shows. I was a big fan of watching the original cooking show personalities like Julia Child, Jacques Pepin, Justin Wilson and even "Wok with Yan" while growing up. Today, there is rarely a day that goes by where I haven't seen a show on the Food Network.
All this being said, NYC was a mecca for restaurants and varied healthy cuisine. I used to love trying new places for lunches and dinners. Which lead me to realize that in the couple years we lived there I probably only ate at traditional fast food restaurants a handful of time. Subway or Quiznos being slightly excluded. Especially since there was no Chick-fil-a. (sort of...another story)

So, now that we have moved away from NYC and deep into the frozen Midwest obese plains of Minneapolis, I have found myself being lured back into the fray of fast food joints like Taco Hell, Arby's and even Mickey D's on occasion. It is starting to disgust me.

But at least I am fitting in to my new surroundings, even if I am having trouble fitting in to my pants.
